Today I’m excited to share the first recipe from my Healthy BBQ Series: Stuffed Dates Wrapped in Sage Leaves! The recipe comes from Melanie and Sönke’s Vollwert-Blog and suggests using either tahini or almond butter; I made the almond-butter version. My family loved the dates! The fragrant sage goes surprisingly well with the caramel-sweetness of the dates and the creamy almond butter.

I wrapped the dates in sage leaves before sautéing them in a pan, though you could also skewer and probably also grill them (I haven’t tried yet). Enjoy!
