Guys, this Strawberry Mango Quinoa Salad is so delicious, quick to make, and perfect for the summer season that I’ve just got to share it with you!
The original recipe was posted by Julia at Balance-Akt a few years ago. When I came across it again by chance recently, it brought all kinds of good thoughts to mind, since it reminded me of my early days as a blogger. Julia was also one of the first German-language bloggers to write about Clean Eating. It’s hard to believe, but when we both started blogging in 2011, there were hardly any health blogs out there – and the ones that existed didn’t appeal to me too much. I got to know Julia personally in 2012 – she’s a kind, confident, and very personable woman with both feet firmly on the ground.
A lot has happened in the past five years, and Julia’s recipe reminded me of that. She submitted it to an Alnatura recipe competition in 2011 (in which I also participated). This was a very formative period in my career, as it laid the foundations for what I do today. My blog from back then no longer exists, but instead I’m writing here on Projekt: Gesund leben and I love it. There are now tons of blogs focused on Clean Eating, fitness, relaxation, and other health topics – and that would have been hard to imagine even a few years ago.
Now back to the recipe! I adapted Julia’s version slightly (hers involves the addition of more fruit juices as well as maple syrup, while mine is based on non-dairy milk and includes almonds and vanilla).
